Once a hot spot for scuba diving only, Alona Beach and the Province of Bohol in general have become even more attractive to spending your holiday here. Alona Beach has a wide variety of restaurants and bars, where you can enjoy a beer, the local rum (Tanduay) or have the bartenders mix you a nice refreshing cocktail drink.

Why not rent a motorbike or van and discover the famous Chocoloate Hills, the Tarsiers. Or become even more active and do some cave exploring and climbing, zipline across a valley or cruise on the river in a cayak.

Alona Beach

Enjoy the Alona Beach - View from above By now Alona Beach also offers the non diving guest a variety of interesting activities as well as catering a higher variety of tastes. Enjoy local and international food at the many restaurants and eateries on the beach and in close proximity. In the evening, a number of bars invite you to listen to live music, enjoy local beverages (Tanduay rum, San Miguel Beer, fresh mango and pineapple shakes, cocktails...). Panglao Island

Alona Beach is located at the Southern tip of Panglao Island. You will find some interesting places to visit. Just rent a motorbike to visit them or ask a tricycle to bring you there.

Bohol Island

Panglao is a small island, located off the southwestern tip of Bohol. It is connected to Bohol by two bridges, allowing for an easy trip to Tagbilaran City. It just takes 30 minutes by van or motorbike from Alona Beach. Bohol is known especially for the world’s smallest mammal, the "Tarsier".

Unfortunately as it stands at the moment, the municipality does not seem to want to find a solution. Settlement and compromise are not yet offered. Only vague claims and increase in dive fee have been communicated. Therefore, case is still on-going, no dive fee charged still.
