Arrival at Cebu airport

At the immigration counter the 21-day tourist-visa will be stamped in your passport, unless you already have one. You continue to the baggage belt. At the exit you might be checked by customs. It will help, if you have the flight stud visible to speed up the procedure. Outside you can find an ATM at the right side (if you arrived in the international part), which will accept most credit cards. The maximum amount to withdraw is 10.000 PHP per try - you have three tries per card (making the total 30.000 PHP). You should enter the following: If you have booked transfer with us, someone with a Blue Planet Diving sign should be in this area. Otherwise the best thing to do, is to cross the "street", continue a little to the right and climb the stairs at the end of the building. Here you will find taxis.
The driver should turn on the meter and it should begin at 30 PHP. At the end of the trip you will have to pay additionally 10 PHP for gasoline* (see also the sticker in the windscreen). The trip to the pier or downtown should be between 150 - 200 PHP.
* This fee should be canceled on December 15 2008.

The pier

Basically two piers exist: Pier 1 and Pier 4. At Pier 1 OceanJet trips start, while SuperCat and Weesam Express leave from Pier 4. If you are dropped off within the pier area, you will have to pay a fee of about 10 PHP prior to enter with the taxi.
If you are boarding a boat the same day as your arrival, then it might help to mention this to the security personnel - it might speed up your sedurity check. If you show your diver's certificate at check-in of your luggage, you might save some costs.
Make sure you do not loose the ticket stud you get when checking in your luggage.

Arrival at Tagbilaran pier

After leaving the boat, make sure to retrieve your luggage. You will need the ticket stud.
Outside the pier you will have ample opportunity for transportation. If you have booked transfer, a driver with a sign should be waiting for you. Otherwise take a taxi, van, trycycle (motorbike with side-wagon) or a motorbike at your convenience. The price for a trip to Alona Beach should be 350 - 400, 400 - 500, 150 - 200 or 150 - 180 PHP respectively. When taking a taxi, the meter reading will have to be doubled, as the driver will not have a paid return trip.

The dive shop is located at the right side of the beach (looking from beach to the sea).
